Materials of Fire Stopping NSW spray

Many a times, a person who requires Fire Stopping NSW spray would purchase the ABC fire extinguishers without thinking about the real fire hazards they have to protect from. While purchasing fire extinguishers, you should know some of the things about the extinguishers for making an informed choice, particularly, fire class that you should protect from and special condition you should consider.

Materials of fire extinguishing

The fire extinguishers employ different types of materials for putting off fire. While selecting your fire extinguisher, you will have to state the type of fires that you might be fighting and then select the best material for the application.

Water- APW or water extinguishers employ pressurised water for extinguishing fire. The APW extinguisher could just be used for the Class A fire. They can’t be used to put off other fire classes. Dry chemical- the dry chemicals are also used for extinguishing fire. They work mainly by putting a layer of dust on the materials which is burning. The dry chemical extinguished is quite efficient in cutting off fire. However, dry chemical extinguisher could be corrosive as well as abrasive to electricals and some other materials.

Carbon dioxide- CO2 works mainly by removing the oxygen from immediate vicinity of fire. CO2 extinguisher is used only for B and C extinguishers. For medical, scientific equipment and medical equipment, CO2 is a much better choice as compared to the chemical extinguishers as CO2 does not leave any kind of residue.
