Fire Spray NSW for residential and commercial setup

Wonder why is it important to have a Fire Spray NSW in place? Approximately 1/3rd of all the fires that originate in the restaurants are in the kitchen. These are generally flash fires which occur on the cooking products. Preventing such incidents require 2 important steps: controlling the ignitable sources as well as controlling the combustible material. A typical source of kitchen fire is considered to be grease which is a naturally occurring by product of most of the cooking processes.

When the fats get heated, they basically change their form from solid to the liquid form. Then they are drained off within form of oils or start becoming atomised particles and spread in air, propelling upwards by thermal currents due to cooking. Cooking on low temperature creates more amount of liquid grease, and cooking on high temperature produces much more vapour which forms due to grease.

This vapour gets sucked in the exhaust fan and cools down and settles on the surface, becoming a fire hazard in the exhaust fan. When the kitchen staff gets the right training and when all the requisite safety equipment are available, the top range fire could be easily extinguished within a couple of moments. If not, it expands rapidly into duct, reaching about 2000 degree Farenheight as it touches the flammable grease or lint.

As a result, the auto fire safety programme becomes important. In most of the state insurance agencies, fire safeguard inspection is important by an exhaust hood expert before the insurance claim is given. The site is also re-inspected in every 6 months for maintaining insurance cover.

Even when the 6 months rules is not applicable in any area, it is good to get the exhaust fan professional cleaned as well as checked at least 2 times a year.

Auto fire safety programme

An auto fire safety programme comprises of spray nozzle which is located above each piece of the external cooking products. You would see that there are some specific rules regarding the nozzles and also their placement.

The fire detector could be placed in the duct or in the hood. In the duct, there’s also internal fire safety system. A fuse link along with separate thermostat looks weird for instantly closing the fire damper on the ends of duct. The exhaust shuts when water or a Vermiculite Spray NSW is sprayed on inside. Other similar type of systems may be used by hand.

Some prefer maintaining the exhaust running so that some could be removed during fire. Also, towards protection of the exhaust system, several handheld extinguished need to be installed on the walls of the kitchen and the employees should also be experienced in using them. The auto programme once triggered is thorough and thus you need to close your kitchen for cleaning it up. Mostly, the handheld fire extinguishers are sufficient for commercial places. Thus, at most of the restaurants and shops, you will see handheld fire extinguishers. This is because they are handy and easy to use.
