Capability of a Duct Spray NSW

An activesystem or a Duct Spray NSW detects presence of a fire, triggering evacuation of the occupants of the building. Ventilators as well as fire suppressors can help in managing spreading of fire and starving it off oxygen.
On the contrary, the passive systems act as form of the 2nd line of defence for containing rapid spreading of fire. The passive fire protection coat system attempts at diffusing the fire and protecting the structure of the building from collapsing.
Intumescent coats
The passive fire protection system depends mainly on unique ability of the intumescent substances for fighting fire. Intumescent helps in increasing in terms of volume and decreasing in terms of density if exposed to fire which results in charring. Char then becomes poor conductor of heat, denying the fire from spreading any further. A lot of fire protection coatings which have the properties of intumescent comprise of sodium silicates, hydrates as well as graphite elements. Hydrates help in releasing water vapours if exposed to fire including cooling effects and producing fire retarding char which insulate against the fire growth. A lot of hydrates based low pressure intumescent are used for fire protection coatings which act as fire proof due to its endothermic property.
At an ambient temperature, the intumescent fire protection coating looks visibly similar to the ordinary pain finishes. It’s just during the soaring temperature that the real abilities are seen. A significant role of the intumescent coating is protecting the steel structures.
