The improved version of Intumescent Paint NSW

Intumescent Paint NSW is a fire retarding paint. When it gets exposed to fire it majorly expands for becoming a black foam or charring barrier that could be one inch thick which coats the whole surface on which the paint has been applied on. The charring barrier helps in cutting off the much required fuel for burning the fire and protecting the structures giving extra time for evacuation of occupants of the building and letting the fire fighters arrive at the spot and quench off the fire so that damage could be minimised.

These days, an advanced version of the intumescent paint is also available in the market. It could be applied easily with the help of a brush, paint sprayer or a roller. It is polymer based so that it bonds to any surface easily. It is nontoxic and non-irritating to skin and thus it is completely harmless to kids as well as pets. Just 2 coats of the paint are sufficient for most of the situations and it’s also much cheaper than the earlier versions.

The improved version of the paints is being used in different situations now. It could be used on aluminium, steel, drywall and timber too. Steel structures have to be protected mainly because when they are subjected to heat they weaken and the building might collapse eventually. Thus, it is important to apply a coat of these paints on any porous surface.
